Drone Insurance

What is UAV insurance?

UAV is an abbreviation for an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle. This can also be known as an Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS), or more commonly, a Drone.

If your UAV is for commercial use, or just for fun, you can have it insured for loss, damage, or third party damages. In these complex electronic, mechanical devices, the technology is still not perfect. This risk poses a potential for untold financial loss to a company, or individual. While your UAV accident might not be your fault, you are still liable for the damages.
In most cases, for individuals, your homeowners all risk policy will not cover your UAV in the event of an accident.

With some commercial UAV Agricultural Drones costing as much as US $28,000/-, is the financial risk of losing this Drone really worth not paying a small insurance premium?

The different types of UAV insurance coverage that we can obtain through our vast network of insurers is as follows:
  • Hull liability (Loss & Damage)
